I ordered my new stove today. It's sweet. It's everything I wanted, except that the oven is a tidge smaller than what I wanted, but since the oven element is recessed into the bottom of the oven, I should regain that space. It should be here a week from this Saturday...just in time for me to do my Holiday baking.

As I wandered around Lowe's...my eyes glowing and drool fighting to escape from the corner of my mouth, Lou sook his head and mumbled, "Looks like I need to find you a new 12-step program." I ignored him and asked the sales clerk that was helping us if the Frigidaire came in black.
For those of you that don't know, I am a card carrying member of SEKA Anonymous. SEKA - small electronic kitchen appliance. If it slices, dices, juiliennes, bakes, boils, broils, toasts or simmers...I've got it. Hell, I probably have three. I am addicted to kitchen gadgets. The people in the small appliance dept. at WalMart smile when they see me enter the store. At Kitchen Collection, my husband posted a picture of me with a caption that says:
"I am no longer responsible for any purchases this woman makes. For the love of God, don't sell her anything..she already has it. I have the VISA bill to prove it!"
Smart alleck.
Now, an oven is not a SEKA. As a matter of fact, an oven is a necessity. How could I bake a turkey without an oven? Well, I could put it in my rotisserie or free standing roaster that's never been out of the box, but that's not the point. Can't bake pork chops without an oven. I'd have to grill them on my grill or fry them on my full size griddle. But again, that's not the point. What about frozen pizza? Wait...I have a pizza baker...
Hum..maybe I DO have a problem and don't need a new oven after all...
NAH!
Wait..I've GOT one! I can't bake pies withtout an oven! Yeah, that's it! That's what I am going with. I just spent several several hundred dollars on an appliance so that I can bake pies!
