Ready or not..here it comes! (Again)
It's New Year's Eve..and here I sit. No, its not a bad thing. This is where I wanted to be on New Year's Eve. I long ago gave up the desire to get dressed up and ring in the New Year amongst strangers, drunk people and the possibility of getting car jacked on my way home.

Or getting caught with a stray bullet that Bubba just had to fire off since it's good luck to fire off a round or 12 at the stroke of midnight. Yeah, buddy!

I completed my goals for 2004. Since you asked so nicely, I'm going to post them here. maybe some of you out there in blogland would like to keep me accountable?

Goals for 2004

1. Find an agent or traditional publisher for Moments of Clarity - since my publisher doesn't see the need to convert my ebook into a print book, I have to find one who will. Those of you who would like to complain, her email is synergebooks@aol.com

2. Get a minimum of 15 personal essays published in paying print and
online markets

3. Get a minimum of 10 business-related articles published in print or
online magazines.

4. Get a minimum of 10 writing-related articles published in paying
markets.

5. Keep TheClassicQuill.com, KAFrancis.com, and my blog updated

6. Finish the outline for a novel I'm working on and complete the first
draft.

7. Find an agent or traditional publisher for "Three Wishes".

8. Get my byline in Business 2.0 and Entrepreneur magazines

9. Write the sequel to "Three Wishes"

10. Be completely self-employed by the end of 2004. Now that hubby is
employed again, I can attempt this goal once more. I've achieved it
before.

11. Keep my groups hopping.

12. Other miscellaneous goals that are more personal in nature, but
career-related as well.

There they are, in all their glory. I made six of my ten goals from last year. Here's hoping I can do as well, if not better, this year.

Those of you who were wondering...
About my Christmas, it was a good one. I got a bunch of stuff, many of the things were cow related...including a cow comforter from one of my secret friends (Hi Nikki!). She also got me Snoopy's Guide to the Writing Life, a book I've wanted since it was released. ZMy other secret friend (Hiya Theresa) got me a cute stuffed cow, a candle, a few other items that other family members have walked away with, and a book called The Boy Next Door, which is proving to be hilarious. All in all, it was a good Christmas. I also had three wonderful women that I played secret friend to, (waving to Jennifer, Sheri and Heather) and I had a blast playing my persona, Comet Claus. It was a fun holiday season and I am glad I was able to participate as much as I did.

Okay, that's it. I was going to muse a bit about what 2003 has taught me, wax poetic about one year ending and another beginning, and say something inspiring about using time to our advantage....but decided against it cuz I'm really not in the mood. Y'all don't need me to tell you all that anyway. You know what life is like. My only wish is that you live it to the best of your ability and enjoy as much of it as you can.

Happy New Year y'all! See ya in '04!
Okay, tell me how you REALLY feel!-[ comments.]
